This unique crack-bridging system incorporates a flexible membrane, fiberglass mat reinforcement and chemical resistant topcoat. COROFLEX 65 consists of a primer, elastomeric crack-bridging base coat, two layers of 1½ oz fiberglass mat reinforcement and one surface veil followed by two resin rich topcoats. The total thickness of the lining system is 100-140 mils (2500-3500 microns). COROFLEX 65 was developed based on the excellent chemical resistance and laminate layer design of TIP TOP LINING 65 together with a flexible basecoat to provide a high performance crack-bridging lining for the protection of concrete structures. It provides chemical protection against a wide range of acids and alkalis, as well as excellent resistance to hypochlorite and other bleach solutions.

COROFLEX Linings consist of a series of high performance, crack-bridging systems designed to tolerate crack movement in concrete while providing protection against exposure to corrosive chemicals. This unique concept in barrier protection combines synergies between flexible elastomeric basecoat, structural fiberglass reinforcement, and chemical resistant topcoat technologies to provide optimum protection for concrete structures. COROFLEX BC is the flexible elastomeric basecoat membrane used in all COROFLEX Lining system designs. It helps to reduce stress on the lining caused by moving cracks. The fiberglass reinforcement layer works to dissipate localized stresses and provides the necessary tensile strength required to enable the lining system to function as designed. The reinforcement layer consists of fiberglass mat and either an epoxy or vinyl ester resin saturant depending on the specific chemical containment requirements. Topcoat selection is dependent on specific chemical resistance and service condition requirements. These include epoxy, epoxy novolac, polyester, vinyl ester and novolac vinyl ester topcoats available from REMA Corrosion Control.
